Privacy Policy

Metamorphosis Ministry ("we," "us," "our") operates this website (mm.michaeleinwechter.com) and the Metamorphosis Ministry mobile app (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are not lawyers, and this policy is written to be plain and honest rather than exhaustively legal — if you have questions, reach out to us directly.
Information We Collect
Sobriety Tracker (app only)
If you use the Recovery tab in our app, your sober date and PIN lock are stored only on your device, using secure local storage. We do not receive, see, or store this information on any server. If you choose to turn on "Share milestones," only the milestone reached (e.g., "30 days") is shared to the Prayer Wall — never your exact date or any other identifying information.
Prayer Wall (website & app)
Posts to the Prayer Wall are anonymous by design — we don't ask for or attach a name, account, or device identifier to your post. Posts are stored in our database (via Supabase) and shown on both our website and our app, so it's one shared community either way you connect. Because posts are anonymous, we generally cannot identify or remove a specific person's post at their request unless you tell us identifying details (like the exact wording and approximate time) so we can locate it. Please don't include personal information you wouldn't want public in a prayer post.
Contact & Volunteer Forms
Our Contact and Connect pages use your device's own email app to send us a message. We only receive what you choose to type and send — typically your name, email address, and message. We use this solely to respond to you and, if you've volunteered, to coordinate that involvement.
Push Notifications (app only)
If you opt in to notifications, your device registers with Apple's or Google's push notification service (APNs/Firebase) to receive reminders and updates. We do not use this token for anything other than sending you ministry notifications, and you can turn it off anytime in the app's More tab or your device settings.
Website Usage
We do not currently use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies on our website beyond what's strictly necessary for the site to function. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log basic technical information (like IP address) as part of standard web infrastructure operation, consistent with their own privacy practices.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to: respond to messages and volunteer interest; display anonymous Prayer Wall posts to the community; send opt-in push notifications; and operate, secure, and improve the Services. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who We Share Information With
We use a small number of service providers to operate the Services, each of whom only processes information on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosts the Prayer Wall database.
- Apple (APNs) / Google (Firebase) — deliver push notifications, if you opt in.
- Cloudflare — hosts our website.
We do not share information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party, and we do not sell personal information.
Data Retention & Your Choices
- Your sober date and PIN never leave your device, so deleting the app (or using the in-app "Remove Tracker" option) deletes them completely.
- You can turn off "Share milestones" or notifications at any time in the app.
- To request removal of a Prayer Wall post or ask any question about your information, contact us and we'll do our best to help, within the limits of the post being anonymous.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures (such as on-device-only storage for sensitive recovery data, and access-controlled database policies) to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. Because most of what we collect is either on-device (never reaches us) or anonymous (not linked to you), there is often very little for us to retrieve or delete — but if you have a specific request, contact us and we'll respond.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Services grow (for example, when online giving or additional app features are added). We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
